Design and Visualization Process
The design process begins with visual mapping of client's goals and preferences with imagery for inspiration
Basic measurements
We begin the process with a meeting on site to discuss ideas and goals. I like to get a feel for my client's needs, functionality and sense of space the home or office offers and any practical concerns that may come in to play when the design is finished.
We start the conversation of ultimate goals and take rough measurements to create a more complete layout.
Adding a new element
For example a client wanted to add a stand up enclosed shower for a master bath. After finalizing measurements, we created a basic layout of how the enclosure may fit and added a few more detail measurements for reference in a more refined computer drawing. Details and materials are an integral part of the services I offer.
Basic 3d layout
This basic view of the layout gives a rough idea of how the the new feature will interact with the flow of the room. Depending on the contractor requirements and the clients' preferences, drawings can be developed to any level of detail.. The design process can include flooring, cabinetry, lighting, tile, solid surfaces, furniture and fixture selection.
Sketch of the shower enclosure
Our first sketch of the enclosure included a crown across the top that isn't in the final project.
